The Daiwa CC80 reels have an ultra-low-profile design, which means that are comfortable to hold in smaller hands as well. They are also very light-weight at a mere 195g.
The CC80 was designed using the Carbon Concept (CC) principle, which means that it has a durable carbon fiber housing and side plate, as well as four ball bearings. The casting is facilitated by Daiwa’s Magforce magnetic drag, which allows you to easily control your casting and effectively avoid line tangles.
The reel has a balanced drag producing 7kg of drag output. The 6.8;1 gearing is highly suited for Nordic fishing and provides the CC80 with plenty of torque as well. All of this is controlled with a 90mm Swept handle, ensuring that you remain in control at all times. The crank is equipped with ergonomic, non-slip knobs.
